GTA Real Estate Report April 2011

May 17, 2011

Overall April 2011 was not a bad a month for Toronto Real Estate. There were 9041 sales through MLS and while it is 17% down from last year’s April we need to remember that last April was record high of all times. Furthermore, the average selling price increased by 9% to $477,407.  In my opinion as a real estate agent there were a lot of negative news about real estate bubble bursting in Canada which made sellers hesitant to list their homes. The higher average price and obvious competition between buyers should correct the market in May with more sellers listing their homes.
